About the host
The National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) will organize the ACAG-2 in period 25–28 Oct. 2010. This conference is organized biannually by NRIAG, the 1st conference was held on 20-22 Oct. 2008.
NRIAG is one of the oldest scientific Institutions in the region. It was founded in Boulac – Cairo in 1839 as an Astronomical observatory and it was moved to its current location at Helwan 1903. From that time and up till now NRIAG has witnessed large developments in several disciplines of Astronomy and Geophysics.

Objectives
ACAG aims to encourage Arab scientists in both fields to integrating their efforts and contributing to the advancement and progress of Astronomy and Geophysics through active cooperation among each others as well as scientists from any other part of the world.
