Media report on the Egyptian delegation’s visit to the National Research Center

On Tuesday, 09/22/2020, the National Research Center received a high-level delegation from the Arab Republic of Egypt – the Ministry of Scientific Research – President of the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) prof. Dr. Gad El-Qady and Dr. Mohamed Al-Jabri, Director of the Egyptian National Data Center for Disarmament.

The visiting delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Zeinab Abdel Rahim Othman, General Director of the National Research Center, Dr. Badr El Din Ahmed Hussein, Director of the Remote Sensing and Seismology Authority, Dr. Mutamin Mirghani Dafa Allah, Director of the Institute for Space and Aviation Research, and Dr. Al-Tayeb Abdel-Latif, Director of External Relations at the National Research Center. The visiting delegation gave a comprehensive lecture on National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG), the lecture was attended by a large number of researchers from the Remote Sensing and Seismology Authority and the Institute for Space and Aviation Research, as well as a comprehensive lecture on the Remote Sensing and Seismology Authority and a summary of the Aerospace Research Institute.

Discussions and agreement were made on ways of joint cooperation between the two countries in implementing projects, scientific research, and training in the following fields:

• Geophysics and Seismology


• Processing data to comply with the Treaty on Nuclear Disarmament

• Satellites

• Solar radiation stations (the Egyptian side guarantees to support the center with a solar radiation station) Astronomy and Space Sciences

• Remote Sensing 

• Protection of antiquities and national heritage from floods It was also agreed between the two sides to develop the previous agreement and add new items to keep pace with the specialized scientific committees and to specify a training coordinator for each side.
