Soil Mechanics and Foundations Unit

The Soil Mechanic and Foundation Unit is one of the most important units in the Civil Engineering Department. The unit is fully equipped with modern facilities and machines to meet international standards requirements at a high level, accommodating most laboratory and field soil testing. This unit is supported by the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) staff not only meeting all expectations and the needs of teaching and research but also the services and consulting to academic institutes, private companies and governmental agencies.

:تعمل وحدة ميكانيكا التربة والأساسات بالمعهد على

أبحاث التربة –

تنفيذ جسات للتربة وذلك لدراسة خصائص التربة الطبيعية والميكانيكية وتحديد أقصى مقاومة لتحمل التربة ومن ثم تحديد عدد الأدوار ونوعيه الاساسات وجهد ومنسوب التأسيس وأي احتياطات يجب مراعاتها أثناء تنفيذ الاساسات

إختبارات جوده تربة الإحلال –

تقوم الوحدة علي جودة تربة الإحلال بإجراء اختبارات المخروط الرملي  ، كما تقوم بتنفيذ اختبارات التحميل اللوحى

(Sand Cone test) (Plate Loading test)

تصميم الأساسات السطحية والعميقة – 

تقوم الوحدة على تصميم جميع أنواع الأساسات سواء السطحية أو العميقة مع مراعاة الجوانب الاقتصادية، كما تقوم على مراجعة واعتماد رسومات الأساسات المقدمة من العميل

تصميم أنظمة سند جوانب الحفر –

تصميم أنظمة التحكم فى منسوب المياه الأرضية –
