Biography

My Biography

Elbaz I. Abouelmagd is Associate Professor of Celestial Mechanics and Space Dynamics at National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) in Egypt. He obtained his Degree in Mathematics at Mansoura University Egypt. He has continued in studying Applied Mathematics.   He defended his Master Thesis in 2005 and PhD Thesis in 2010. Both theses are oriented to study Celestial Mechanics and Space Dynamics.
He has had several academic positions in different universities in through 2005 to 2015, but He work in Astronomy Department at NRIAG five years ago up to now.  Furthermore, he is a head of Stellar Astronomy Lab in the current time.
Abouelmagd is Author of more than 50 research papers published in the best journals he has supervised 2 Master Thesis. He belongs to the Editorial Board and potential referee of several journals ranked in JCR 2010. These Journals publishes original contributions in Mathematical Physics, Interdisciplinary Mathematics, Celestial Mechanics and Space Dynamics. He has founded Celestial Mechanics and Space Dynamics Research Group (CMSDRG) of NRIAG.  He has been awarded by National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics Award of Scientific Abundance for three consecutive time (2018 – 2020).
There are two research lines opened:

  • Analytical study on N – Body Problem (N > 2)
  • Periodic and Numerical Solutions
  • Applications of the previous lines to Astronomical Dynamical Systems.

Research Interests

My Research Interests

Main research interests are studying the behavior of the dynamical system, which describe the physical phenomena. In particular, the astronomical dynamical systems, that are concerning with the problems of celestial mechanics and space dynamics. More precisely, my research is oriented to study the motion of infinitesimal bodies under the effect of various perturbing forces and analyze the stability of motion. Furthermore, I am using some perturbing methods to find the periodic solutions, or numerical techniques to calculate the possible solutions. This is one of most interesting fields in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics.
