Dr. Yosry Azzam received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Menoufia University, Shibin Al Kawm, Egypt, in 1988. He got his M.Sc. in 1998 from Cairo University and his Ph.D. in 2005 from Cairo university and Tohoku University, Japan through a channel system. He is currently a professor at the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics.

Dr. Azzam is an experienced professor with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. Skilled in Faculty Development, E-Learning, Learning Theory, Data Analysis, Lecturing, and Instructional Design. Strong education professional with a Ph.D. of Engineering focused in Mechatronics, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Automation Engineering from Kosuge Lab, Departemt of Bioengineering and Robotics,Faculty of Engineering, Tohoku University & Cairo University.
Dr Azzam is applying the highest standards in research, Teaching & learning and developing curriculum.
He also contributes to the science and engineering field voluntarily being a consultant, mentor, reviewer and member of many professional and international association and journals.

Dr Azzam has excellent knowledge in Information Technology, Computer Science, Programming Languages, Database Management, Computer Logic & Architecture and Networks. Several years of experience as a head of çomputer science department and member of the college board where he acquired excellent communication abilities. In addition, he has very good experience in the creation and deployment of solutions for interactive classrooms and students’ assessment.

Dr Azzam is working in the field of Astronomical & Space Science Engineering, where he has detailed information and several years of experience related to Astronomical Telescopes, CCD Cameras, Coating & Vacuum instruments, Astronomical Image Processing & Data Analysis SW Applications, and Space Robots.

Dr. Azzam authored/co-authored over 21 International Journal articles, Conference Proceedings. He has several publications in reputed and high impact journals published by IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, and others. Dr. Azzam has been reviewing papers for many International Journals and has joined many of research projects.

My research interests include artificial intelligence, astronomical telescopes control, machine learning, pattern matching, image processing, renewable energy, and thin film deposition leading to publications in the top journals in these fields.
