I am currently the Head of Solar and Space Research Department, National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG). I received my B.Sc. and the M.Sc. in Physics from Zagazig University, Egypt in 1985 and 1992 respectively.  I received  my Dr Eng. from Hokkaido University, Japan, Division of Electronics and Information Engineering in 1998. I am a Professor at Space Research Laboratory at NRIAG, Egypt since June, 2012.  I published more than 60 papers in reputed journals and international conferences. I am a member of some International Scientific societies and Authorities such as – the Optical Society of Japan from 1996 to 2001, Member of the International Laser Ranging Service (ILRS) since 2000, Member of the Committee of Space Research (COSPAR) since 2014, Member of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) since 2015, Member of the ILRS Space Debris Study Group (SDSG) since 2015. I teaches some courses about “satellites” and “satellites technologies” to the BSc. and the Dr. Students at faculty of Science, Helwan, University, Egypt. I am also teaching some other courses at NRIAG. I had been published more than 60 papers in reputed journals and international conferences.

  • Scientific Short Visits many times to the Czech Republic at the faculty of nuclear science and physical engineering , for training on the satellite laser ranging, it developments and the methods used for the data analysis of the Helwan-SLR station. Also on the modifications required for increasing the precision of the observations.
  • Scientific Long Visit to Japan from 1994 till 1998, for a period of four and half years, in a scholarship produced from the Japanese government for the Dr. Study, Division of Electronics and Information Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Hokkaido University, Japan. That happens after passing some exams and interviews before the travel.
  • Scientific Short Visit to Germany during 2011, to attend the 17th International Workshop on Laser Ranging in Bad Kötzting, Germany,
  • Many Scientific Short Visits to China, during 2014, 2017 and 2019 to National Astronomical Observatories of China and Changchun Observatory, for the preparation to the mutual cooperation in the filed of satellites and space debris tracking using the Laser Ranging technique and the technique using the optical telescopes.
